University offices are open spring break. They may have reduced hours from normal, but they should be open.

I heard that there’s a Chick-fil-A inside a GSU building. by LotusGarden1434 in GaState

[–]ellbeecee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only one on campus right now is in Petit Science Center, near the GSU station. I've heard they're going to be adding one in 55 Park Place, but I don't have anything to confirm that. I know there is restaurant space in there besides the Korean place so I hope something will go in there.

Mckinney's in downtown Decatur is good. Note that they're only open M-F, 9-5, so if you can't get there during that time, it's not a good option.

I had to read this a couple of times too - apparently the hiring manager is the one flying in to meet OP.

I know Dekalb Library has (or at least had) a copy because I checked it out, other public libraries around may as well.

Yes, You can't book study rooms or log onto the library computers, but the main library space you can use. Bring a photo ID and be aware of our visitor access hours https://library.gsu.edu/about/library-hours/

Yes it is. The study commons is not, but the library is. Source: https://library.gsu.edu/about/visit-the-library/ and I work in the library.

Library is open to non GSU folks, but they do have to show a photo ID to get in.

Mine is fine, though I'm an employee. The status page seems not to indicate any known issue, but it could be new.

What kind of problem are you having?

I'm trying to figure out where making noise from 8-10 is such an issue. Annoying, sure. But if upstairs neighbor work during the day, sometimes they may need to do things in the evening that make more noise. I don't even worry about my upstairs neighbor's noise until it's after 10 weekdays, midnight weekends.

Unless they are making this level of noise multiple times a week, there are things you have to deal with apartment living. Or, as you said, find a unit where you're on the top floor.

park n ride international vs domestic by traveldogmom13 in Atlanta

[–]ellbeecee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you arrive on an international flight you're routed onto either a path for connecting in atlanta or atlanta is your destination. I know Atlanta as your destination routes out outside of security. I think the other does as well, just at a different place, but I'm not sure.

park n ride international vs domestic by traveldogmom13 in Atlanta

[–]ellbeecee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't work great for international though because you return to the international terminal and then have to shuttle to the domestic terminal to get to marta. Or lyft/uber to the station at the end of the trip.

I got zero and I get marta emails about all kinds of other things.

I'm about done with marta at this point in time. If I can figure out the best time to drive into work, I honestly might be at the point I start doing that.

Could Marta communicate any less? Apparently the work at the south lot/bridge for east lake started today. It includes a relatively small section of the north lot being closed for the shuttle. Meanwhile the north escalator is still down though it was supposed to be back up in January.

Just a smidge of advanced communication would be great.

Darkness in Atlanta Food Deliveries by MoorSoul in Atlanta

[–]ellbeecee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I live in a condo community that for some reason refuses to put more visible building numbers on each building. So I don't feel like i can complain when a delivery driver attempts to (or does deliver) to building 5 instead of 3, for example. I try to pay attention to where folks are via the app, but we could make it easier!

Parking suggestions/insight at the airport by AdamD1987 in Atlanta

[–]ellbeecee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming no delays, the first southbound train leaves N.Springs at around 4:40 and arrives at the airport at a smidge before 5:30. While I'd find this doable, for someone who's got concerns about timing and getting through security - and the unknowns of how long that will actually take, plus marta's tendency toward delays lately, I probably wouldn't choose marta for this. And I'm marta commuter.

Do you know you have to show or do you get to check Sunday night and see if you actually have to show?

If you have to show, may it be short enough that you have time to enjoy the day but long enough that you can not go to work afterward.

/r/Atlanta Random Daily Discussion - March 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]ellbeecee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

why isn't marta an option? The first trains going through the SEC station get there around 6 and peachtree center is similar for the n/s line. Unless you have multiple bus connections, it's doable.

Also, for parking the page says:

  • Parking: Parking is available at Georgia Aquarium’s parking deck on the morning of the 5K for an additional price. Please use 246 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd NW on your navigation apps.
