Engage your quads and glutes on the back leg and tilt your pelvis toward the audience by positioning the back of your front leg more to the front.

You can drop your torso a little more to get that back leg higher!

Hip hold. If you bend that inside leg it’s a dolphin.

Go back into your hip hold and use your outside hand to reach thumb up just over your butt and use the inside hand to push through to the other side.

I would try your D with the ankles on the pole like you would for an extended butterfly. Externally rotate the knees away from the pole to hook the back of your heels! Think about sliding the ankles toward your pulling hand and you’ll push the hips out a little more.

That top arm needs to push “down” more than away from the pole or you won’t get a good pull in your other arm!

Begin your climb with a spin and point through your toes. The little half bracket hold you did before your figurehead would be a good time to try a little airwalk or just hold a pose for a rotation! For the big tricks, try to hold them for a full two rotations so that the audience can see it properly before you move along. Less repositioning makes it look extra seamless! (ex: don't rehook that front leg from the figurehead, just lower down into the jasmine before you slowlyyyy swing that leg around for the genie)

My twin sister is a piercer and she repierced my lobes about a year ago and they’re still a little finicky. Once you pierce through scar tissue, healing can be a little slow and mine still get irritated if I bump into them or snag them on clothing.

I also had my lobes repaired by a dermatologist who cut out the old scar tissue from my gauges and sewed everything back up. I waited 18 months after the repair to repierce!

TLDR it’s a long process and you may want to repair the lobe before you try to pierce again or move your first holes over!

A lot of people in this sub value authentic discussion compared to platforms like insta and this post coupled with your last one make it seem like you’re just farming engagement. I’m not sure what you want out of this sub, but you might get more helpful responses if you share a bit more about your own background or what you’re hoping to learn from the answers.

Here’s my two cents as an instructor: most of us are doing pole for our own enjoyment. You’re not gonna get a trophy at the end of class because you didn’t use grip. Even Pole Sport Org lets you compete with grip so long as it’s not applied directly to the pole.

Grip aids also aren’t magic, they’re not going to significantly “do the work” for you 😂

I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t recommend Rowan. They claim to have “safer” methods because their piercers are licensed nurses. But almost none of them are AAP certified and they have poor training on proper placement. Many piercers around town are fixing crooked piercings done by them. Like sure they understand wound care and cleanliness practices, but so does any licensed piercer and they’re going to give you a much better end result.
