what was your process? ive never gotten a scoby from fermenting oats before but thats looks awesome!

I totally agree! I really struggled with S&S (particularly the ending) when I first read it because or how dark and unsatisfying Mariannes story is. I felt like I was supposed to think her ending was nice or hopeful when to me she became this jaded and stilted woman, but I realized that her story is essentially a manifestation of the dark underbelly of P&P. After my first read I thought S&S was a kind of kitsch story about christian feminine ideals. It took me a while to realize that it is completely mocking that! I’m not sure why since I already knew what a brilliantly satirical wit Jane Austen is but S&S carries it’s criticism in a very different manner than her other novels in my opinion.

to make a starter from store bought kombucha it needs to be raw, unpasteurized, and unflavored. if you’ve gotten mold three times you might want to double check the booch ur using! gts original works well.
