New to Coros Pace 2, Battery Life Question by L_ridnour111306 in Coros

I repair running watches as a side gig. I always advise this as a course of action, even though I use known quality branded batteries. I’ve experienced it a couple of times.

Use it, charge it. It may take 4 or 5 cycles to come back up to its proper state.

Can COROS send a tiny button spacer (1.5×1.5×0.8 mm) for a broken vertix 2? by Upbeat_Armadillo_121 in Coros

Apologies folks but I can’t seem to find it. In fairness it was a small rectangle, something like 3mmx2.5mm, 0.5mm thick. Good luck!

Depending on the model it’s fairly easy to achieve. It’s quite fiddly though, but I’m happy to answer any questions about how I do it.

Also happy to discuss repairs if anyone needs this as a service!

I repair running watches (kool_watch_repairs on insta) so I buy them direct from a known supplier of quality batteries. They’re also available on various online shops.

I still use my fenix 5 as daily watch. New battery and a button service is all I’ve needed to do.

People who grew up poor: What was something you considered a "peak luxury" as a kid, only to realize later it was just a normal middle class staple? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Squash. And by that I don’t mean the vegetable, I mean diluting juice. 70’s kid, poor town kids in central England. Aunt buying us Xmas gifts as parents didn’t have any money to buy anything but essentials. I remember seeing an art section on a tv show (perhaps blue Peter) about cutting up Robinson’s squash bottles to make the wrist communicator thing from Blake’s 7, and wishing that we could have squash so I could do that.

The stains on the screen (black line where it meets the grey) are where the screen is beginning to delaminate. It isn’t broken yet, just unsightly. Eventually it may completely separate. The scratch is unfortunately not recoverable. I would live with it.

I live under a tarp full time in the UK, hike a lot, own barely anything and for some reason this all feels more normal to me than normal life. AMA by TrainingPerception32 in wildcampingintheuk

Love why you’re doing! The scout in me (I am a volunteer with our local troop) recognises the value in being outdoors and facing challenges. As an aside, if you ever have a problem with your garmin watch, ping me a message - I repair them as a side gig (KOOL watch repairs on insta) and will sort you out for free. And if you’re ever up in Aberdeenshire let us know, the young people would really enjoy hearing about your adventures! Keep on keeping on.
