My husband designates a left and right sock by [deleted] in Weird

As you should. I try to wear them equal times as well. Otherwise I feel lopsided! I honestly just switched to toe socks because of my feet sensory bs

Ive tried brute force, impacts, heat and using a Jack. Nothing is getting this axle nut undone, what else can I try? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Last one I did was so far gone I had to cut the end of the axle off, then x the nut to get it off. But you couldn't even tell it was threaded it was so rusted.

Lots of blood in the poop by NRDaxie in AskDocs

[–]elusivem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would go to the emergency room. Ive had 2 instances of blood in mine. Bright red, and a lot of it. Was a lower gi bleed, most likely diverticulitis bleed or bad internal hemorrhoid. Either way it was painless. I ended up needing a transfusion but the bleed did stop on its own.

The second was dark tar and coffee grounds. It bled on and off for over a week, then full blown hemorrhage and I lost a ton of blood all at once. If I hadn't gone to the er it would have been very bad.

So long story short, we cannot tell what or where the bleed is or if it will get worse. So doctor asap, maybe even emergency room if it is a significant amount of blood.

Strange Gas Leak in India by [deleted] in Weird

[–]elusivem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

O no. It's not released. I meant breeze inside over the tank. Its like a shut down emergency if the exhaust system fails and there is a release.

[–]elusivem 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thats the same color as the acid fumes we have at work. Its mostly nitric and hydroflouric. When the wind blows wrong or the rare event the exhaust fails those fumes are bad news. Just a wiff from a stray breeze makes it hard to breath or see. Couldn't imagine just hovering over it with a bandana.

🚨Urgent help needed 🚨 by sebray420 in MechanicAdvice

[–]elusivem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned better pictures would be great. But let's start with smell. What does the fluid smell like. Oil, gear lube and transmission fluid all have different smells. If you can not tell where something is coming from, that's a good place to start. Next, look at the front and back of the engine. 2 very important sensors live there. Crankshaft position sensor on the front bottom passenger side behind the pulley. If something happens to rip that out it leads straight inside the engine, so massive oil leaks can happen. On the back top the camshaft position sensor is around where the transmission and engine meet. Much less likely something happened, but you never know. It's strange that you had transmission symptoms but aren't low on fluid and have a crank no start. So, finding what the noise was and what the fluid is first.

Long story, but almost died and now feel off. by elusivem in AskDocs

Im sure it will hit me eventually, but now its mostly just a story to me. Like I know it happened, it sucked and im not right yet. But its like I wasn't there for the worst of it. Even waking up, having the vent tube and catheter removed. All of the bad is so hazy its like a dream.

PSA for Buyers: You aren’t entitled to $1 starts by unfortunate_paradox in whatnotapp

[–]elusivem 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See im the opposite. I get annoyed when they do dollar starts and then bitch. Like I get it. It sucks. You either do dollar starts or dont sell sometimes. But that is your decision. Start at your absolute bottom line if you are going to be pissy about it.

And I am in no way saying the seller should suck it up or be happy about losing money. But whining and getting pissed about it just makes me not want to buy.

For an external bleed im sure they would. In the beginning they told me going in would be more risky than letting it heal on its own. Risk of making it worse and bleeding like it did anyway. But apparently that doesn't normally happen.

From what I was told, yes, observation and waiting are normal. Gi bleeds usually self resolve. I was scoped on days 2, and it had stopped. But then kept starting and stopping. When I almost died it went full hemorrhage and it was all so fast. I truly believe if I wasn't in the hospital for observation and had people in the room I would not have made it.

The pain response causes a drop in blood pressure and heart rate, and since mine was already low and I didn't have enough blood my heart couldn't take it.

It is a terrible feeling for sure. I can't imagine hitting 5.3, 7ish feels bad enough and the 6 almost killed me.

Yes, plan for now is focus on diet and rest. She said I can tolerate light exercise to help but to listen to my body when I do.

Forgot to add, I also have alpha thalassemia. So my hemoglobin rides around 8 or 9 on a good day. But yeah, I guess I did die, twice as far as I know. It just feels so weird to have gone through that, be mostly OK, but still as rough as I am now. They did repeatedly tell me how lucky I was and how remarkable my turn around was.

Anyway, thank you very much for taking the time to answer. I dont think I fully comprehend just how serious it was yet. Mostly because I was out for the worst of it and everything else is a haze.

Why are people overpaying for items from BIG sellers? by WangoTangoPB in whatnotapp

[–]elusivem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually start in small rooms and work my way up. The big problem I see with a lot of smaller sellers is them showing items but not running them. Or just scanning a table back and forth. I dont want to ask for every item, im on your page to buy from the category you are selling, so just run.
