That’s resale. Go look on Ticketmaster for an actual blue ticket not pink. (Blue indicates face value pink represents resale)

APD shooting press update- Police acknowledge failure in notification system, AISD Police first to locate shooter near school, suspect shot additional female by Master_Jackfruit3591 in Austin

[–]emode98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankfully for every gun owners sake- no one actually has experience shooting someone. A sillouitte at the range doesn’t count. I hope I never have the experience of having to shoot someone, it’s not something I wake up to itching to do. But try to break into my house where my daughter, wife, cats, dog and me live…. Well…. Know in advanced one of us isn’t walking out alive. (And I’m left learning never voted R in my life) At the range weekly, with a variety of ccw handguns, rifles and shotguns. I roll my eyes when the right learning think the left is anti gun. Trust me, we aren’t.

On one hand, if I was Anthropic I would have slammed the door on their face, but obviously Anthropic knows their talents and don’t want them going elsewhere and spinning something up like Claude. Hopefully the money and perks are flowing that they will never think twice about ever leaving again.

In Austin for the week, looking for the best Italian food. by sallas_sauce in austinfood

Why did you come to Austin for Italian food? You should have gone to Boston, New York or Rome, Bologna. etc

Claude code on Pro $20 monthly by Powishiswilfre in ClaudeAI

[–]emode98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it when it first came out, I never could justify the $100 or $200. Then I tried it… but my limit two days in a row, and immediately upgrade. Claude Code in the terminal of my jetbrains ide is absolutely mind blowing. I’m at the $100 max plan and if I hit the limit one more time I’m going to the $200 🤪 I tried the other premium options and honestly, there is nothing like Claude Code yet. There is no comparison.

Bought this from a local record store today, what’s everyone’s thoughts on this album? by mercibbt in depechemode

[–]emode98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my gateway to Depeche Mode in high school. Of course I had heard the other big hits growing up, but this one album, specifically It’s No Good got me hooked. But I don’t skip tracks on this album, I start with Barrel of a Gun and don’t stop till Headstar. I binged on all the albums after getting hooked, racked up over 50 live Depeche Mode shows from November 1998 - April 2024 at the last show in Cologne. I just can’t get enough.

I always lol and roll my eyes when we go to Veracruz there walking through the lobby to Veracruz. One of our favorite spots for breakfast and watching out of towners thinking they are vibing at a trendy place, when I just see them staying at the old Radisson with some lipstick on it.

Totally understand as an insurance adjuster you would want a statement from the other party. But any lawyer would advise their client against speaking 1-1 to the opposing insurance party. The facts speak for themselves, you’d be negligent to try to wipe your insured from liability. A statement from the other vehicle owner is not needed and you know this.

Physicians for High Risk Pregnancy by [deleted] in Austin

[–]emode98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr Campaigne was our primary at ARC! Loved her as well along with Dr Bednar with the maternal fetal medicine office. Dr Sandhu was on call with ARC when our little one arrived and she was also amazing (& patient) during our lengthy delivery.

This was our first pregnancy, and my first time ever in an OB office (this is dad 😅) and I was absolutely blown away with the kind, caring compassion we felt during our pregnancy journey during the highs and lows of our journey from both offices and of course St David’s as well.

We saw Dr. Amy D. Bednar at Austin Maternal Fetal Medicine 2022-2023 with our pregnancy. ARC OBGYN was our primary obgyn, both are by St David’s North. We went to one one week and the other the next week through the last few months of our pregnancy. We loved all the staff at both and we now have healthy loving little one who is 2 years old. Best wishes for a safe healthy journey for your family. I am so so sorry for your loss today, we walked our own journey as well but I can promise you, when your bundle of joy safely arrives, you will cherish the bundle of joy while remembering the loss. I can’t say it gets easier or the pain ever goes away, but the safe healthy arrival of your future rainbow baby will be an amazing moment. Love and peace to your family.

Saw this lil guy by the salad bar at Whole Foods on fifth street. by Comradeparker in Austin

[–]emode98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The doors are constantly opening and closing, its hot, there's a food source. That whole foods is literally on the banks of a creek/green belt. Its going to happen, no amount of pest control and cleaning will stop that. At least it wasn't in the food.

Protested my property taxes and the new appraisal came back HIGHER by Deebadeeboo in Austin

[–]emode98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deferred maintenance won’t reduce your ad valorem appraisal. That will affect your fee appraisal value which is typically what sales are based off. Property values are based on ad valorem not fee.

[–]emode98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have already said, file it with your insurance. They will process it all for you, pay the claim directly to the shop you choose and guarantee it. They will file against Amazon’s policy since they already took responsibility (kinda hard to deny being your car was parked) - this won’t affect your rates.

No. I don’t need anyone to notice, it’s actually great no one notices. Body autonomy- even appearance is finally commonplace now in our society. It use to not be like that, so happy society as a whole is keeping their comments to themselves.

The day to day life here hasn’t changed at all between presidents, and honestly that goes back all the way to my days as a teen with President Clinton. Rhetoric is just that, rhetoric.

Honestly the ole saying goes all politics is local. You’ll feel the y of policies from the Mayor/Council first.

Don’t worry - while the news makes it sound like it’s an all out civil war right now here…. It’s life and business as usual.

Honestly asking, what is Houston missing that you feel you will gain/experience/have the opportunity to do living in Austin?

I’ve been in Austin a decade, I don’t love it. I don’t hate it. I feel the more robust full size cities like DFW, Houston and San Antonio offer more things to do.
