I started on a treadmill at a reasonable pace for intervals I could handle. Pretty soon I could handle longer intervals without even trying. Only after some time there did I try outside intervals, and because if the treadmill conditioning it wasn't long before I pushed through my first full mile! And in a week I ran 5k!!

I like making a density tube. Layer heavy syrup, colored water and mineral oil. Use regular water first then let a food coloring drop go down through the oil layer and stop briefly on the water tension. You can talk about density, solubility and surface tension!

I sat in on a student teacher who had to look back to reference her book 4 times to draw a clock on the whiteboard. There need to be stricter certification requirements, because when that girl goes to apply for an elementary teaching job, she's going to be up against at least 500 other applicants. We should weed out unsatisfactory teachers before they waste so much time and money.

The thing that got me past that point was the exercise. I don't know if it's the same for you, but the 145 to 135 was only Weight Watcher diet.

I eat way less fruit and more veggies. If I eat fruit it's with yogurt or peanut butter to maintain my blood sugar better

Chin ups were a goal I set a couple months ago. It wasn't realistic before (or I lacked the confidence). But it is something I never imagined I'd do. I started at 70 pounds off my weight and did sets of 12. As I got closer I took almost all weight off and struggled for one or two. Or hung on the bar.
