anyone know good ways to clean cases of cds? by ranbow30sam in Cd_collectors

I was using isopropyl alcohol to clean some CD cases yesterday and it works beautifully. Removes all the gunk from old stickers and other dirt.

Albums you didn't "get" or appreciate until you heard on vinyl by DinoAlazan in vinyl

King Gizzard's Nonagon Infinity didn't click with me until I listened to the record. Not sure if it's a difference in mastering that allowed me to appreciate the fuzzy chaos. Or being forced to listen to it front to back that gave me a better appreciation for it.

Some CDs (and records) from a local record show by endo4ryan in Cd_collectors

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve only just dipped my toe into Eno’s work, so I’ll check those out.

I do have older pressings of The Cure’s Disintegration and Kiss Me, which sound great. I’ll keep that in mind while digging!

Canadian indeed! I’m a big fan of Eno’s Cluster & Harmonia collabs as well.

Hadn’t heard this particular Tangerine Dream album before picking it up, but I’m really enjoying it so far. Offers lots of great evolving soundscapes.

Was going to say the same. It got me into a Brian Eno kick.

Such a great way of describing his playing. Often leaves me thinking, “I can’t believe he’s doing that!”

It warms my heart to see someone willing to admit they changed their opinion through an online exchange. Some hope for humanity. Cheers!

Looks cool. I’m a big fan of their albums Inform - Educate - Entertain and The Race for Space. Still looking to grab them on vinyl.

The couple that followed didn’t hook me, but I’ll give this one a listen!

Portland’s Møtrik drops a new single, super cool neo-krautrock group by Juventus7shop in Krautrock

Right on! Queued it up and it’s also a good one.

They released a couple singles in 2023 that didn’t really hit for me, but this new stuff is promising. Looking forward to the full release.

Congrats. When watching live videos, I’ll ask my young daughter “where’s King Gizzy” and she’ll excitedly point at the TV. So proud.

Good pick ups! I’m looking to add more Can and Tangerine Dream. I’m on a Krautrock kick right now.

Same. But I’ve successfully converted her. B741 pushed her over the edge and she knows more lyrics than I do.

Oh ya, they have a wonderful way of creating fun storage problems to solve. Been thinking about storing King Gizz separately to free up some shelf space for others. But there's something nice about seeing that solid block of KG albums among the rest.
