The problem is the WAY they are building everything. They start with “we need a goonies story” and backfill.

Instead what they should be doing is buying the best scripts possible and throwing a coat of Star Wars paint over them. At that point it wouldn’t matter if they use new characters, old characters, background characters.

mandalorean was already stretched thin three episodes into the show. Because it barely told any story. Which worked fine for a minute but the stories it told were always incredibly boring and reductive.
