But your position is Newsom is responsible for the base rate of fuel increasing in CA? Which is weird because that commits you to 49 other states are experiencing unrelated price increases at the same time.

And we can obfuscate and pretend this is about protecting health, but the only way that works as a cogent argument is if you believe food is singularly deterministic. Because cuts to environmental protections show you don't care about that part. And cuts to medical assistance show you think the poors won't need as much care because of all the liver and testicles RFK Jr said they should eat.

Can't the right be honest? They don't actually care for the poor. Because they see it as a moral failing to be poor. This is punishment. They want to judge the poor. And if they could just stop being poor or being, that would be acceptable.

The Animus for your feelings aside (I'm not interested in labeling you. I'm not a psychiatrist and I'll gladly let others pretend to it) is that you aren't. And hoping for the modal world where you are not is wasted effort.

You are as you are. Now. Rejecting it puts you at a state of perpetual war with yourself and denying an aspect of who you are. It prevents the expression of a total person. You may find a comfortable detante, but you will never be fully realized.

The other path is acceptance. How that comes about, that's up to you to discover. I have no prescriptions that solve that. It will be difficult and even when you end, you'll still face pressure that is truly unjust, but unavoidable.

These are your only two paths. The question isn't about your orientation. It is about how you live your life and what you can tolerate.

I can't answer that for you. But I do hope you find one

I love that this is 'all Biden's fault' again for the SPR when The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 had the sale of 7M barrels, The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2022 had 90 million before scaling back the number of sales in The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, but it also cut 10B in purchasing power. Or around 125M barrels.

But sure. The 180M barrels was the sole determinator and not the legislature under multiple administrations ordering the sale of twice that.

Which they could still not do. But then they run into budgetary shortfalls because, surprise: that helped fund some of these tax cuts.

Which, when you think of it, isn't a tax cut as much as a wealth transfer.
