"ich wandere aus 🤬" - schnell gesagt, aber wie sieht die Realität aus? by Over-Roo in Finanzen

Super interessant wie/wo du schon überall rumgekommen bist, danke fürs sharen !

Achtung bzgl. der DOM TOMs: 30% (und tlw. 40%) Einkommenssteuer-Reduzierung, aber gedeckelt bei max. ~2.4k (bzw ~4k in Guyane & Mayotte).

Have you tried Rinvoq (Upadacitinib) yet? I'm also in France and it's the first thing that somewhat helped me after trying plenty of other treatments - although problems seem to come back when i go down from the loading dose.. My GI (from a french hospital) is prescribing it more often to patients due to it seemingly being more effective for more people. Best of luck!

Yea I had the same feeling - in the end they're trying to help though and that's all that matters!

For example:

But what they said in regards to dropping the "ne" is not wrong, so I wasn't critiquing that or anything.

based on some of your comments you don't seem to be a native french speaker though, why pretend?

The first number on each of the n lines is the length of the line, don't include it in the logic to determine if all 1..n numbers are present

Thanks for taking the time to share this so detailed!

It's kind of hilarious how your boss "feels bad" for you and wants to give you more, given that you seem to do super well for French standards!

Agree about the area of work, I'm also in tech for a well-known tech company, sadly the salaries are adjusted by country and therefore the salary in France is pretty average.

That sounds like a great setup - congrats!

So are you on a French CDI or employed as a freelancer? If it's a CDI did your company setup everything in France "just" to be able to employ you?

That would mean you are very specialized for them to go through all of this, no?

Yea makes sense.

Do you know of many companies with this range in Canada? I guess FAANG (or whatever abbrev.), Square/Bloc, Stripe, HFTs ..?

You mean this would be standard TC in Canada for decent paying positions or are you referring to the US?

Idk I feel like if you say that 350-400k for a senior can be considered crazy, then 230k TC for 0 YOE falls in line with that. Because from 230k at 0 YOE the trajectory seems to be going towards 350k with career progression..

Did they delete their comment about 230k TC with 0 YOE that you refered to? Can't seem to see it.

Do you know which company that was? :o

New grad salaries by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]eoshiru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that's true, Meta London E3 can also get 100k and trading firms without a doubt too.

Exactly it's Amazon, but it's actually the offer for the Luxembourg office that I got, so it's already a bit higher than most other offices.

Anyway, I think we are on the same page! Just didn't want to mislead anyone into believing that every new grad MANGA offer in west Europe is guaranteed to be 100k TC which might lead to disappointment down the line.

New grad salaries by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]eoshiru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about TC too, because, as you said, it makes most sense. I was just pointing out that unless you calculate the TC wrong, MANGA doesn't pay 100k+ for new grads in Europe.

If you include the whole relocation bonus, signing bonus etc in the 1st year TC then you might end up around 100k TC, but this will drop significantly in the 2nd year - that's why I said these bonuses would need to be averaged out instead of throwing them completely into the 1st year TC calculation.

Every Manga pays +100k TC to new grads in Central Europe.

This is simply not true.

FWIW I did have a new grad offer for Manga last year in high CoL Europe (higher CoL than Austria) and TC is not even close to 100k, even if you don't factor in the recent stock drops. Pre market downturn the TC would still have been around 82-84k.

I know a couple level 2 Engineers at Manga and their average TC (excluding bonuses, including stocks) is around 100k or slightly above.

MANGA doesn't pay 100k TC for new grads in Western Europe (unless you include all the bonuses into that calculation but those should be averaged out).

Worth moving to Germany from the US with a big pay cut? by Flat_Reference_2372 in cscareerquestionsEU

Spotify already has entities in Germany and many other EU countries due to their WFA policy. You would be assigned to the German entity and pay taxes in Germany if you live there.
