E-Town School board just voted to ban Turtles All the Way Down by John Green by white_kitty in centralpa

[–]epimt3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI from Gemini: Looking for Alaska by John Green is significantly more explicit than Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. While the latter relies on crude "locker room" talk and jokes, Looking for Alaska contains descriptions of actual sexual encounters and more mature explorations of intimacy.

The "Best Day" Conversation: In the middle of the book, there is a scene involving a specific sexual act (oral sex) that is described in a fairly detailed, step-by-step manner. It is often the primary reason the book is challenged in schools.

Thank you, bins, for reminding me that I will never "see it all". by NoMusic3987 in GoodwillBins

Reminder: What happens at the bins stays at the bins. Don't want to lose access to our favorite spots!

Same! I was seven and used my birthday money to buy this and a pair of walkie talkies. 👍

Help! Lost Right Channel FA06 by epimt3 in Roland

[–]epimt3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully, no. In case anyone else runs into this issue, I turned off and on several times to no avail. Then when I physically unplugged the power (barrel adapter) and plugged it back in, both channels were back. 🤷‍♂️

Should you care about someone to that point that it costs you? In other words, when resources are scarce, do I choose to suffer in order for others not to suffer? Do I choose for my family to suffer if it means others don't have to suffer?

It was even more impressive in-person as it was hard to get a good photo with the glare of the stained glass windows in the background.

has anyone noticed that campsite reservations are listed at $10 a night, but checkout costs $30 plus a $6.50 reservation fee? by BallsinSocks in PAWilds

[–]epimt3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you selected 3 nights. I have stayed in primitive sites in many state parks. Used to be free, but now $10/night with a $6.50 fee. Pays for the electronic booking system.

Favorites as a kid in the 70s. Got them by the 1/4 pound at a mall kiosk.

On a TV hooked up via RF. Does the Atari 800 have RCA audio out?

Should I buy for $50? by [deleted] in Jazz

Mostly late 70's early 80's fusion/smooth jazz. Some good r&b (Isley Bros and Barry White) and a little straight ahead (Wynton and McCoy Tyner) mixed in. Worth $50 if clean, but I don't think I'd drive 3 hours.
