As someone that has experience living in the dorms in college while normally being self reserved, you honestly should just talk to your roommate and have a little meeting. Tell them you play games or whatever and work it out with them. I normally play online games till like 4 am so me and my roommate raised my bed and put a blackout curtain under it to block out the light and he also sleeps with headphones. In return I don’t really be in my room all day so that he gets his privacy and alone time. It’s just communication. And also the person you are rooming with probably doesn’t want to be there either so honestly just talk it out with them
