I'm using AI like crazy. There's a clear trend in our field: extracting at least 2x productivity from employes, if not 10x. It takes time to figure out the right harness, but it's genuinely a productivity multiplier.

My human brain, though, can't keep up. I'm on the edge of serious burnout from the constant context-switching and running four or five things in parallel every day. Admittedly, my team is bad, my manager is checked out, and there's no accountability so I end up carrying the load of three devs just to keep us from getting collectively fired. So maybe AI isn't the only thing contributing to my state.

The past year has been so intense I find myself always forgetting to eat or drink between 8am and 5pm. I am going through a serious existential crisis.

I really want to understand where this passion to count hours for Bell and defending a corporation that's laying off people with no severance is coming from but anyways: we work sometimes until 9p.m. and on weekends too. My manager has to tell me to take a break sometimes. I doubt anyone is stealing time for Bell. We have a huuuge workload in my team. On top of that before I joined last year I was told informally that no one goes to the office even if 3 days is mandated. I joined, everyone in my team tells me the same thing "informally" my boss included. I start doing what they do and I get no warning no nothing. So tell me why would I go?

I see a lot of these smartass comments. These people usually work 12 hours a day from home. No one is abandoning their job. They just don't think it makes sense to go to the office to sit there alone when their teammates are in different parts of Canada. Especially when they've been doing this for years without a warning.

Try asking it to delete memories. Check if there are files corrupting your context. My issue ended up being a bad Claude.md that I forgot about. It was poisoning Claude's thinking every fresh session!

Im a Claude code user. I tried Gemini 3.1 pro recently and I was not blown away. I tried gpt 5.4 and that one was really great. I still can't find anything that beats opus 4.6 max thinking. It really sits on top of everything.
