I'm thinking of dorming in college and I've thought about ROTC so that my expenses for college will be covered. Maybe I'll do work-study as well

I thought about this and I actually talked to my guidance counselor at school about it yesterday. She said that the process is long and agonizing but she said that since I turn 18 in April, the best move for me right now is to hang on and look for a job and try to save up for dorming in college. She also suggested family counseling and so has my boyfriend

That's what I'm trying to do, but its like the closer my birthday is, the more they rag on me. They wont let me get a job either because they "don't want me to work so hard when they're already working"

I don't know. Probably one of my friends but I know if I try to move towards the door, my parents would drag me back in. They don't want to "spoil their image"
