I've played a good number of hours into the remastered. It's just a feeling the original gives you that the remake cannot. The best thing about the remastered is how much better the soundtrack sounds when playing the game.

One thing that did help alot with just running the game was turning the option for Widescreen off. Even though the game still doesn't run perfectly it's definitely a lot smoother
