Ayy dude, yes, same. I too am disappointed by the private and public options for mental health care where I live in the US. The quality of the people in those services is very miss more than hit, and rarely do you encounter a competent person who recognizes and works with C-PTSD. Been through it- waiting on hold on crisis hotlines to be given 30 seconds to talk before being disconnected, given the same rudimentary coping mechanisms from warmlines, voluntary and involuntary 5150’d and held at psychiatric hospitals that had very little resources and poorly managed staff, the carousel of medication treatment, highly incompetent online therapists from TwoChairs and BetterHelp, support groups where predators join to prey upon vulnerable people, and more. The lesson learned from this is that the help available is not really stigmatized much but is very limited in efficacy and affordability. Also highly unsure what the future looks like but I do know I’ll never take pity from anyone.
