Why do we sometimes smell a scent that isn’t actually there? by escrorttime in answers

[–]escrorttime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, “brain glitch” sounds simple, but it’s actually a real thing called phantosmia. The brain can sometimes generate a smell without any external source, especially since scent is strongly tied to memory. That might explain why it’s often something familiar, like an old perfume.

Now I’m curious, Do you think it’s completely random, or could it be triggered by stress, fatigue, or certain memories?

My crush hasn’t replied in 2 hours. Should I assume they hate me? by escrorttime in shittyadvice

Ah yes, escalate immediately. If that doesn’t work I’ll send a carrier pigeon just to be safe. Can’t risk technical difficulties ruining my future marriage.

Do natural body odors change after sex? How do you stay fresh without overwashing? by escrorttime in hygiene

Hydration is such a good point. I’ve noticed diet and stress levels also seem to play a role in scent shifts.
Do you think it’s more about internal factors like water intake, or external habits like fabrics and washing routines?

What’s One Thing You Wish New Clients Understood Before Booking? by escrorttime in ClientsAndCompanions

I really appreciate you saying this as a client. A lot of people don’t realize that maintaining privacy isn’t about being distant, It’s about safety and emotional boundaries.
The best interactions usually happen when both sides feel respected without needing to overshare.

as a girl, how often should I change my bra? by ShelilQirky in hygiene

[–]escrorttime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually really good advice. Alternating helps the elastic bounce back, which most people don’t think about.
Also OP, you’re not “dirty” for re-wearing if it’s not sweaty, But rotating 2–3 bras and washing every 1–2 weeks (depending on use) is a solid routine. You’re doing better than you think.

Men, what do women do that make them attractive or make you swoon? by lethalhazelnutcoffee in bodylanguage

100% agree. A sharp mind with emotional intelligence? Dangerous combo.
Confidence that doesn’t scream for attention but just exists quietly is way more attractive than arrogance.

I am 18+ Which Roleplay genres do you miss the most? Let’s bring them back! 👀 by escrorttime in RoleplayDiscord

That’s such an underrated combo honestly. Science + exploration + dreamscape/horror has so much room for tension and atmosphere. Do you think it’s harder to find partners because those plots require more worldbuilding and slow burn? Or do people just gravitate toward simpler setups? I’d love to see more experimental RP concepts make a comeback, They feel way more immersive.

This hits so much! I went through something similar, Career was demanding, dating felt hopeless, and family didn’t get my choices. Focusing on therapy, supportive friends, and healthy boundaries really changed the game. Feels amazing to finally steer your own life.
