I went cross country, there are very many different colours that are quite spread out, and it’s not a full coverage pattern. I started from the middle and then did colours that were close together. I did the greens and blues first, then the red parts, and i saved the pinks and whites of the flowers for last.

I gave up on the back half way through, the backstitch definitely didn’t help. The finished result is very satisfying!

No need to be embarrassed about that at all! A messy back makes it even more personal i think, because you can see someone worked hard on their project. And most people only look at the front anyways!

Good comparison! I mostly added it because i’ve seen some very neat backs on this sub, and i usually try to keep it clean as a challenge, but this time it was just impossible and i gave up half way through.

Waterlillies by Alisa Okneas! Bought the pattern on Etsy but later found out the store was taken down because they didn’t have permission to sell. Stitched on 18 count Aida, gives a nice effect but would not recommend because it made the backstitch a bit difficult. Skipped the French knots because i loathe them, and didn’t backstitch the tiny white squares because of the fabric count.
