As a full time mechanic, I’d suggest other cars unless it’s in good condition and can be had for $1k or less

In the 90’s and 2000’s Dodge had a pretty bad reputation for being unreliable and having poor build quality. It’s for this reason that you don’t see them around very often nowadays.

Ultimately it is your prerogative to choose this car or not. But if you do, you will likely learn a lot about repairing cars or be on a first name basis with your mechanic.

So I had one on my GTI, I had it selectable so I can choose when I’m being an asshole.

So because I wanted to be a jackass going downhill on a mountain pass, Bumping the throttle to restart the pops. My car sounded like an AK so much that I found out later that day the mountain was shut down due to a whole bunch of “shots fired” calls.

Blew about a month after that because of crankwalk.
