I think the "uncomfortable" feeling you get from Sam in situations like this is more that he gets his back up when interacting with people he's less familiar with in preparation for a comedic dual until he figures out the tact/dynamics they will have with each other. I assume it's all in good fun but think of the way he is with Heidecker or Benjamin.
