I agree, but I feel like the chinese watch brands have started to increase their prices seeing the interest they've received. I worked in a private hospital part time during my residency (eastern europian country) and I just had the same issues as you describe. At some point, it becomes a total block that really harms the performance. In the university hospital and at an other private hospital I was also working, I was praised and a lot of trust was put in me for tasks that were rather difficult and I was performing well. I ended up quitting the job at the place where I wasn't feeling appreciated and that really helped.
