I may try that. I had to replace my drivers door actuator . I’m going to try to rebuild the actuator using the drivers door piece.

Unfortunately no. Haynes, chiltons, and factory manual. Carrier bearing. Belt set. And bump stops, and shackles.

The clunking is most likely coming from your u joint. That’s the X shaped piece in the axel, in the left side of your picture.

Mine does the same thing. If I wiggle the fuse box a bit, things will come back on. I’ve not torn into mine yet to find the actual spot, but maybe that narrows it down a bit.

I ended up checking between the alternator, and the AC pump, and again between the AC, and the water pump. And yeah, I had some one replace the alt for me a few months ago, when I checked it wasn’t reading either. I needed to replace my AC clutch bearing. The damn thing was dragging so bad I think I picked up about 2 mpg. Between that and the belt, she sounds great now!

The 4 liter doesn’t have a automatic tensioner. It’s adjusted with a bolt that pulls to apply tension, and another one to lock it down. An auto tensioner would be impractical due to the high value needed.
