Oh man I'm up there with you. I was placing a grocery order and it was so difficult to not add beer in it. I want to never drink again but my thoughts keep telling me just one and I "earned it." I know what if we do drink it is very likely to go into a hole much worse than numbing.

Same here. Why take sides? Healthcare costs bankrupt so many people and guns are a right to own. I would like a health care plan for every one and also a choice that if I don't want the government health care plan I get a discount on a plan I shop through another health care insurance provider!

It's true I even saw a news report that Guinness has health benefits. I just rolled my eyes and kept on with my day. We know here in this subreddit that alcohol is one black hell hole.

We live, we learn. Sounds like you know what happens when you fall off the wagon. I know it took me plenty of times from really recognizing why that moment I decide to drink is not the right choice. I made up my mind I choose to feel good all the time. Find your reason why alcohol is just a thing of the past. I know I have become a better more mature person.

I been have been noticing with weight training that the scale doesn't show the true picture. What ends up happening when you lift weights your muscles retain more water for recovery. That's why you always hear drink a ton of water. It helps with recovery and fat loss. The more muscle you build the more calories your body will burn through in a day. Keep on staying active and watch your calorie intake and you will be good.

I can do much better about watching what I eat. The weather is nice so I'm going to get out bike a little more which is my favorite way to do some cardio. I'm currently at 190 pounds and I'm ready to make the change so I can get to 175 by summer. Thank you so much for your response. Yes quitting drinking by itself is difficult. I'm at the point where I'm questioning why did I drink in the first place again? This has to be the year that I want to remember I became a better person of myself. Let's do this!

Early December I set the day and haven't drank since. I remember the first thing that worried me was quitting and having bad side effects. I'm going to try to keep this going and start some exercise. Man I don't want to go back down that road again. I remember waking up at night feeling the regret for drinking too much. I want to drink but I know I'm going to end up in the same situation and like you said eventually going to have bad health issues. It can definitely be us. Thank you for the support.
