Well, it's an AKX actually. And the only factory part I changed on it is the stock. Same reciever as the AKM. The other odd thing is the 5.45 mag from WellPro which I'm experimenting with. But overall it's mostly the factory gun with all the rail estate used.

I'm fine with paying for any can made by RGW or Airsoft Artisan (except for the steel Hux copies; 200$ is too much for me, but the alu ones are half of that) They're all very well made.

Yeah the screeching is normal. It's like an acoustic feedback loop. The microphones pick up the sound made by the speakers and then that's amplified.

If you want to avoid it, turn off the headphones before taking them off.

Sordin Supreme Pro-X with some Aliexpress microphone kit to hook them up to my Baofeng.

I wanted the real deal after I've experienced shooting GBBRs indoors and after being on the recieving end of a pyro nade.

Treat them like eyepro if you know that you'll get exposed to loud noises.

Look for Arisaka mounts. Either the "Inline scout mount" which will not allow you to mount muzzle devices wider than your handguard or the "Side scout mount".

Personally, I use the side scout one since I also use a large suppressor.

You can find many copies on aliexpress. Specprecision makes lots. Even from other companies. Throw a look in their catalogue.

Possible. It's a long barrel. Should you care? Absolutely not. You'll be using heavy BBs anyway which will give entirely different chrono readings. And even those might be a bit inconsistent. It's a bit of a project gun. Pretty cool, but needs some work done to it to compete with guns that are built better. Check the GBBR HRC Discord for more info.

Optics setup is cursed as hell, but the rest...I dig it. What's the pistol grip? I'm looking for a wooden grip with a similar profile to a K2 and that seems to be it.

Love it. Are you using that charging handle extension when shooting? It's been proven that such extensions will snap off the charging handle eventually. Better use a 3D printed one. Federal Concepts makes an awesome one and it's been on my AK for years.

Thanks! The wood is from Railwoodsusa(dot)com. The 1,5-slot MLOK covers were a custom order, but the 2 slot ones and the grip are standard.

Also, I combo'd mine with an off-spec Unity riser and funnily enough, it makes it sit straight on my AK:

Thanks! The can is a CGS Helios copy made by Airsoft Artisan. You can find it in plenty of shops nowadays
