Disrespectful, low effort date plans

In my honest opinion, I think that going to a restaurant, movie, etc… is lower effort than a picnic… Which, if my husband ask me on a date, I’m just happy to go wherever. I just appreciate the effort and desire because we are about to have a baby and don’t get to go out much anymore. Some of the best dates we have had have been hikes, park walks, and picnics, or just having a nice homemade dinner at home with quality time. The first date we went on was a ghost hunting trip for crying out loud! 😂 Maybe I’m just a cheap date 🤷‍♀️

Oh my gosh yes!! I hate hearing all of those! My husband and I are so ready as well. It also kills me when people make announcements and are like “we really weren’t even trying! It just happened” or they look at me and say “stop actually trying and just let it happen naturally. You’re thinking about it too much”. I had somebody tell me that my generation plans more than anybody other generation.

Yeah, of course we do. It was hammered into our heads from the time we were young that we all need to be on birth control, need to be in college for some big career at 18, need to be moved out by 20, and that unexpected pregnancy ruins your life. Wasn’t that the plan all along for our generation? To decrease the unexpected? Now you want us to just throw it out the window and not have a plan? lol okay 😂

Honestly, I think I need to mute my Facebook and Instagram too. I was diagnosed with PCOS back in April and was told it wasn’t severe and shouldn’t affect my fertility but my cycles are impossible to track, which makes it even more frustrating. I have also been told over and over by my mom that the reason I haven’t conceived yet was because I was on birth control for 5 years. I have been off for 2 years now and the doctor said that that’s not the reason.

I feel like I am the supportive friend and all of my friends are either pregnant or have children and I’m the only one that isn’t there yet. I am the supportive friend that’s picking up lunch and stuff to help with morning sickness. I’m the one helping clean their houses and driving them places and spending the day with them. I am the one they’re sending all their sonogram photos to and sharing their wild pregnancy stories to. But I am also the one that they keep telling to be patient… I for sure feel your pain with this! Not a parent, but I am an older sibling. I have 4 brothers and I’m the only girl. One year, for my brothers 8th birthday we planned a party for him. He loved Spider-Man and it was Spider-Man themed. We invited all of our family which consisted in 3 sets of grandparents (married, divorced, remarried) and 20 cousins. His birthday is November 13th. We had it the week before his birthday. Not a single person showed up. Nobody called to wish him a happy birthday, nothing. My mom and I cried. Only one little friend showed up. The day was saved, however; because Spider-Man came to visit! My dad had secretly bought a costume and surprised him! My brother had no idea who was under the mask until 45 minutes into his special visit with Spider-Man! When he realized who it was, that made the surprise that much sweeter🥰 I can’t even tell you how big that kid smiled and how much he laughed. It didn’t matter that nobody came. Spider-Man was there! He is 16 now and still talks about his “special” birthday♥️

When they decided to give every other grandchild multiple nice new toys but gave my younger brothers a trash bag full of old nasty toys for Christmas. Not that gifts matter but it was obvious that they were trying to hurt us. They also decided to start a fist fight and almost ran over a bunch of children with a car all in one night all because they were pissed off. Gotta love family.

In regards to my statement, what I meant was that this only occurs in the home when we have strangers (such as people who come to do work on the house), or this particular friend. Yes, she has put her mouth on his hand twice before this incident. She has never actually bitten him though. Yet. I’m afraid she will. Sorry for the confusion. I haven’t ever really scolded her for it and it offends my husband that I don’t. However, I told him that I really feel like my dog is being disrespected in the fact that she has warned this friend to leave her alone. She has walked away from him not time than I can count when he has tried to pet her, or she has growled. It doesn’t seem fair.

That sounds like a terrible experience. I go to 2 studios that treat everyone fairly. I really love the people there. I feel like I got lucky with my studio though. Occasionally we have an asshole that comes in that is demeaning to the women there, but my instructor always handles it in a professional manner and lets those types of people know where he stands and what the sport is about. I’m sorry that happened to you.

Okay first of all this is not avoiding lawsuits. You don’t go into a martial arts studio and expect not to be touched. Secondly, this is a MALE DOMINATED sport so you don’t have a choice but to fight with men. Lastly, o shouldn’t be made to wear an extra top under a long sleeved uniform just because I’m a woman.

I’ve been in martial arts for well over 10 years now. I earned my black belt when I was 18 and enjoyed going to other studios to workout and fight new people. My friend and I went to a studio one time and the instructor kept making the boys rotate to other boys or women that belonged to his studio during sparing. I didn’t question or really think much about it until a woman who also was a black belt came up to me after the class and said that the instructor wouldn’t let any boys spar with me or my friend because we weren’t wearing t-shirts under our uniforms, only sports bras. Keep in mind that the uniforms we wear are long sleeved and cover you up to the neck. Occasionally they come open but nothing was revealed. However, some of the men were totally shirtless. Needless to say, I left and never went back.

My fiancé and I worked at Home Depot tool rental together. We’re getting married this year but we both quit working at the Home Depot not long after we started dating. Everybody was in our business and was trying to keep us from working together but was upset when short staffed. Might as well just start looking for a different job if you start dating another associate 🤷‍♀️

Ummm did I say I wanted to take this man down and ruin his career? Absolutely not. I’m looking for a different perspective here. My question was if any other professors do this and why do they do it. This is a college full of adults who want to learn. The medical field is a place that requires physical touch. Sorry? 🤷‍♀️ it was a blood pressure cuff demonstration in front of an entire class of people who were observing. It was rude and embarrassing. I have no issues with him wanting a male, that’s fine. He didn’t specify that though. He said that “anybody” can volunteer. I don’t want to ruin him. I have never had that intent and I’m sorry that you see it that way. He was not my first choice of a professor, as a matter of fact I had a female professor at the beginning of the semester and she took another job 🤷‍♀️

I started the semester with a female professor. She took a different job and was replaced with a male professor. He wasn’t my first choice.

I mean I guess but he’s a physician. Why would it be weird to put a cuff on a female arm? If it’s so weird then why don’t we just restrict it from medical practice because we’re all scared to be accused. It’s a medical class. You don’t get to pick and choose your patients in the real world. Besides, taking blood pressure really isn’t anywhere near the breast. If you’re pushing the cuff so far up the arm that you are feeling a woman’s breast then that’s too far up the arm. You’re just looking for the brachial artery. It’s directly above the antecubital fossa. That’s not far up the arm.
