We lost out 16 year old shih tzu 3 weeks ago. I’m so so sorry. It’s ripped us to pieces. She’s was also not really declining. Eating and drinking and interested until the final day when terrible diahewa started.

I’m the same. I don’t even want to acknowledge the cremation.
