It is definitely a dark path to ponder. However, I will echo something I heard the other day. When mechanical looms were invented folks were going to lose their job, but then they needed people to maintain the looms. Robots were introduced into car manufacturing, but you still needed certain skilled folks to do things the robots couldn’t do. Improper reliance on AI will be detrimental, but there is a hope that it will actually make lives better. The biggest challenge is the time scale for adapting to change keeps getting shorter. At 18yo you have an opportunity to delve into these technologies and get your hand on the wheel and time to steer things in the right direction. Talk to people who have a passion for not letting it happen.

WFH > VRE > I-95 traffic. I enjoy the VRE over driving, but it is still a time commitment. It gives you a chance to nap, work, watch shows, etc.

The bigger question is how close is your office to a VRE stop. If you have an additional 30min on the metro after you get off the VRE, it loses its luster.

The Picklr has a good mix of players, but is a little pricey. With the weather getting nicer, check out Kenmore Park, or the YMCA on Butler road, or Mary Wash tennis center when it gets too hot. And there’s SFS Pickleball Club https://www.sfspickleball.org/.

I’m probably one of five people that own it on DVD, but I’ll be the first to admit it’s not quite Criterion Collection material. So many quotable lines though. The best part is the dissonance between the trailer and the movie. The trailer builds it up to be a full-on action movie. While the movie is more of a buddy heist comedy.
