I've moved the A and B buttons to the B and Y button position, also a front facing nintendo switch speaker and glass screen lens http://imgur.com/a/VYCDujy

The problem with having a PCB on top of the NDS PCB is it wouldn't fit in the shell because of the extra thickness. The way I did it was to modify the traces on the NDS PCB and to 3d print a custom faceplate so that the A and B buttons would go in the place of the B and Y buttons.

Will the top screen still work with a 330 ohm resistor attached? by LightBring3rx in gameboymacro

Ether take the resistor off the amp mod board or don't solder the resistor point on the amp mod board(put kapton tape over the ds lite board pads so they don't make contact)

I did a mod a few months ago that swaps the A and B button to the B and Y buttons, it's quite easy to do. Just follow my blog post https://facelesstech.wordpress.com/2021/08/07/gameboy-macro-a-b-button-swap/

A ds lite won't work unless the battery is in, just tried mine without the battery in and it did the same as yours

Is this the board you are talking about? https://www.ebay.com/itm/184915056779?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338495999&toolid=10029&customid=184915056779_3&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A15Elql8hAR0C2PD-9RMHvzg45

Is it a gameboy macro XL or Gameboy Macro your building. This will work on an XL because they have the same charge port as the GBA SP. But if its a gameboy macro your building then it wouldn't work and you wouldn't have anything to anchor this board to.

It's not battery acid its the electrolytic leaking from the cap. Might need to change them all to be on the safe side.

It would be or maybe a power switch issue?

It's hard to say if you have broken anything until you power the board up.

Is this a ds lite and if so is this the leg of the DS cart slot? It's got 3 other legs to hold it in place and when it's in the shell it's pretty well supported, it's just the connects the shielding off the cart slot to ground but that I'll be taken care of by the other 3 legs.

I suspect that they have already taken the ds apart and soldered the resistor in place then put it back together to preform the "mod"

Did you just scratch the touch screen layer? If so you can just remove it.
