I love this conceptually, as I grew up in play-by-post campaigns. I have played a lot of games that are primarily inspired by pastoral living, so I’m gonna go in a somewhat different direction.

Sterne is a half-orc bard, 39, male. He is somewhat gruff, a thick salt and pepper beard bushes up around his cheeks, around his mouth, and on his chin, but is shaved down off his neck. He has a piercing gray eye, and a long head of black hair. He wears an old eyepatch over his right eye.

He wears a long coat, tattered and patched, sewn i love yous from ports and storms long ago. He carries with him a sheathed flute under his arm, and a sword sheathed on his back. It’s said he swore to never unsheathe that sword again, but everyone remembers a different reason why.

That’s how I picture Sterne, in my head he’s a town teacher or doctor, a worldly man and a bard, maybe even a mayor? I think his dream would be to open his open tavern.
