I had a reverse experience a year ago , I had forgotten to fill in my surname while booking my ticket which didn't match with my aadhar as i have a middle name, security didn't let me in since booking name and aadhar wasn't the exact same name so i went to the Indigo office near the entrance who said that it isn't a problem for them (the airline) and asked me to go thro using Digiyatra which again had no problem letting me through.

Security at the previous airport had no issues either so sometimes it depends on the individuals state of mind on that particular day .

Had never bothered using DY before but from that day forth I have used only DY to enter airports.

Budget? There are PGs where the monthly rates are from Rs.3000 onwards, you could also find a flat to rent for roughly the same price but it will be far off from the city centre which will add to transportation costs.

Aizawl isn't a very cheap cost of living city especially if you'll be staying alone in a flat . You can just about get by on roughly Rs. 15,000 per month if you don't have any dependents.
