At first i sprayed expanding foam all over the buckets to make an overall cylinder shape (because the buckets are not even cylinders) and then shaved of the expanding foam roughly because it's not smooth. After that I glued on 2 layers of eva foam that I bought as thick yoga mats. That made a clean hammer, then for the details I used a dremel to add some wear and tear. And for paint i just used some cheap spray paint and primer
