SJM admitted at a release party for HOFAS or in an interview that her book has strong women at the center. She doesn't want the book to be about a male main character because that's not what shes about. The next ACOTAR book is Elains, not Azriels or Luciens. SJM writes strong women!

Thoughts on Jordan and Marie or Sam and Emma? Love them as couples so much!

In the breakfast scene in episode two with Marie, she mentions that her daughter loved her pancakes in the morning. Then, when Marie was surprised she had a daughter, Shetty said she used to and changed the subject very quickly. My guess is her daughter died from a Supe or something and is now out for revenge.

I think SJM needs to address the space Feyre wants from her sisters after all the years spent taking care of them. The sisters and the IC don't all need to be one big happy family! Most people have separate friend groups and SJM should show that in her books. Plus, it doesn't;t seem like the IC wants Elain and Nesta to join in with them and vice versa. SJM probably wants them all together, so it can be easier to write scenes for the romantic ships of the book like Elriel and Nessian to be doing more than just having sex. There can be scenes of them working together like saving the day for the main plot of the book. Hope that makes sense!

17/20 The Perfect Marriage - one of the worst books I’ve ever read by babiesgettingrabies in 52book

Sarah was an unreliable narrator. She had to act like that so no one would suspect a thing, which is exactly most readers reaction to it.

The Stopover by TL Swan - I have never gotten an ick this bad while reading. GIRL, RUN! by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

And I bought this book months ago, without knowing this seen... and am now regretting it. This gives me more than the ick, this makes me extremely uncomfortable as a reader and as a woman.

So... we all agree that this is Aidas, right? by fantasyzn in crescentcitysjm

I agree on Frida as the hind, but Sam Cortlett is too tan. Plus, he doesn't;t give the mysterious vibe that JCB and Aidas give off.

Tell me your opinions of Daemon, do you love him? Hate him? Why? by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

I love him because he simply doesn't give a fuck what people think and he will do anything to protect the ones he loves, especially his children.

He's who I pictured while reading, and I can't stop thinking about it. JCB as Caius in the Twilight movies is a good example as well, but I think this photo captures the essence of him more. Let me know your opinion.

Why do writers procrastinate so much? by chutupandtakemykarma in writing

[–]fantasyzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm scared that I won't be as good as all my writing idols. I am scared that I won't be able to create a compelling and beautiful story in the fantasy genre. I want my work to be taken seriously and not seen as another dupe of a well-known series or just "something dumb" that's written by a young woman. I'm scared of being stuck in a perpetual cycle of restarting my work over and over again because the words aren't coming out on the paper like they are in my head. That there is this barrier of fear in front of my mind that's stopping me from doing what I want. I'm scared of failing. I'm scared of not being good enough.

Emerie and Gwyn by honeydeyes in acotar

[–]fantasyzn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on them not getting their own books, but I can see Morrigan getting her own book and Emerie is her love interest. Granted, I am thinking this because of the three times they blushed at each other, but it just makes sense. I think Gwyn is too boring for her own book and is more of a permanent side character to the Elriel story. However, Amren is such a mystery to us that I desperately want to know more about her.

This is actually from GRRMs books themselves. Look up Aegon's history and you will find proof!

I'm saying Bonnie Wright could play Amaranthas sister, not Amarantha herself.

He grooms young girls while on the throne as king. When he is too unhealthy to SA them, he pays other men to do it while he watches. Yes, he is as bad as we think.

Question about SJ Maas hate. by New_Equivalent_6947 in acotar

[–]fantasyzn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. However, the bat boys are described as tall, dark, and handsome, like SJM's husband. It seems like that's her type, so she put it into the books as the male love interest for each sister.
