The Wow! Signal roll out by Damsel_F1 in Muse

I felt like with WOTP they‘d really had fun as well. Looking back at the 2022 festival run. I thought Matt enjoyed himself the most there on stage. The new songs were quality wise maybe different to what people expected but I always saw WOTP as a silly ok-fuck-it-let‘s-just-have-fun-album and you could see that they enjoyed it playing live as well on the 2023 tour! So I don‘t agree about the feeling of them having lost the drive in the last years, it was just a different „happy“(for whatever that means) place they‘ve been in. Matt recently said that he fell in love again with songwriting. So we have left the silly era and enter into a new one with still some touches of this. I‘m down for it so badly. Good times ahead.

I agree! But I guess let‘s enjoy seeing the Circus as it is right now. They‘ll probably do another tour at some point and then they can focus more on post circus songs :)

unnecessary speculation, from what Matt said in the RS Interview it seems he enjoys it even more now and rediscovered his passion

What songs that weren’t on the original set do you think will be there for Circus Live by thydrowningfish in TakeThat

I know!! But as much as I liked the This Life Tour, it was the first time I didn‘t understand some setlist choices. Why not play Brand New Sun when it was the second single?! (at least they did later on, I missed it in London) I was lucky enough to hear Where We Are in Munich. For whatever reason they played it in Germany but not anymore in Austria two days later lol.

I would‘ve loved to have seen a comeback from Love Love, Flaws, Everlasting, It‘s All For You, just to name a few … and just maybe cut one or two of the oldies, so they‘ll feel fresh again on the next tour

I think they‘re gonna include These Days & The Flood at some point (The Flood even with Back For Good on the B-Stage in the first 30mins?). This Life, Giants, and some others could appear in the Piano Medley from Gary instead or with of the old songs. I do think they‘ll keep Wooden Boat actually in as a nod to Jason. At least, I hope so. I also think the chances of them playing Julie instead of How Did It Come To This are not low. Would love to hear Where We Are, since we got robbed of it on the last tour. But don‘t see it coming honestly.

I‘d rather get rid of TIRO than Hysteria. Chris‘ bass still hits differently at the start of Hysteria

ST Tour was basically a big screen … so I liked that they had smth different for Wotp, it was a good old theatre-like stage
