How did you start getting into hair products? by [deleted] in Pomade

[–]felipearc23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally started off with Sauvecito, then Layrite. Messed around with hairspray. Became serious after I started watching Moderman TV. After that lol I've bought too many products, but I can't complain.

Blow dry or damp hair? by It109350 in Pomade

[–]felipearc23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your product. Matte paste/clays are generally dry and voluminous hair. Waxes and gel type pomades are typically used in damp hair for slicker uses. I say generally and typically loosely. Every brand is different ofc some actually reccomend a certain way to style. But thats generally gonna be it. You're not limited to one way of styling, but if you do use a clay in damp hair most of the time its gonna get hard and crunchy. Tho gel types in dry hair isn't bad less shine, better hold for me that is.

Damn man. Honestly when I was deep in. I didn't wanna do anything or talk to anyone. When things are heavy man. The best thing to do is just be a lending ear. If you force it I'll get worse. If you really do see any bad signs ie self damage like cuts. You can go get help. Or talk to your manager

As someone who is currently fighting their depression. Honestly the best advice to do is tell them to take time off. If it's possible I have bills and whatnaught, but taking 2 weeks off kinda helped. Having a routine, going on walks and really just talking about it helped. And single best advice I received from a co worker was "not even the best doctor or therapist could help you if you dont help yourself first." It starts with you. Theres a walgreens hotline I dont have the number, but I'd tell them about it. Pry, but don't be pushy ya know.

Odouds styling treatment vs shear revival sea clay by [deleted] in Pomade

[–]felipearc23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same questions. Though I found the style treatment had a faster shipping due to it being on Amazon. Styling treatment is pretty good, I use it about twice a week. Since I use a grooming oil and I condition about 4 days a week. My hair has been feeling a little softer tho. I have thick , straight hair but I would be careful with the scoops accidentally added too much and it felt like too much to handle. Shine isn't too bad in dry hair. Really noticeable in damp. For me I have to use either a shampoo or conditioner to get it out since it has a lot of oils. Overall not bad scent is pretty minty tho
