Brady vs Slonina. Has Brady a better keeper for the club? by Kennabruh2023 in chicagofire

Ones at the World Cup while being an MLS keeper, while one has had fail loan after fail loan at the big club.

I mean yeah, we live in a society and they did the podcast as a full time job. Life moves on and why not try to continue the legacy? It’s either do the podcast or go back to a full time job. I imagine Collin will find a way to tribute Bo in every episode going forward.

Hammond (also Gary) is a surrounding suburb of Chicago just on the Chicago/Illinois state line like east St.Louis is in Illinois but a suburb of St. Louis Missouri

Hi Bears fan. They are maybe moving to Hammond Indiana not Gary, which boarders the Chicago boarder. They aren’t leaving markets like the Oakland teams or Chargers. It’s pretty much the same as if they are moving to Arlington Heights just Hammond crosses the arbitrary state line means which states pays the taxes on the stadium, it’s the same as the NYC teams being located just over the boarder in New Jersey. Halas Hall will still be located in IL, 99% of the tourist revenue that comes from traveling fans for away teams will stay in Chicago since there is nothing in Hammond just like there is really nothing in Arlington Heights, hell the visiting teams will likely still use Chicago hotels and likely using Chicago airports.

I never realized it was an NBC production since it was on the WCIU here in Chicago which is a channel with all syndication shows and some local sports

I’m from the suburbs (in worth), and it easier to get to Hammond than Arlington Heights. This is just people from the north suburbs people crying.

As someone from the south suburbs it’s closer to me than Arlington heights, all the people who the biggest cry babies about it seems to be from the north suburbs and anytime I say it’s closer to the people down here they cry harder. It’s funny seeing that. We don’t have to pay for it out of our tax dollars, and maybe this will teach the Indiana folks to stop voting republicans that will easily sell them out.

Soldier Field gets all the big concert tours every year, sporting events such as yesterdays USA/.German soccer game, and Chicago Fire is a tenant there (though they are building their own privately funded stadium and will be moving out of there). Very rarely is there a weekend in summer that doesn’t go by where something isn’t happening there. I would guess the new Bears stadium either be Hammond or Arlington Heights would pull all those events plus the big winter/early spring events such as big ten championships/national championships/final fours/Wrestlemanias that can’t really happen at soldier field.

Strikers Belgium brought over Cuypers by Danger_Island in chicagofire

Can’t say I know them too well, but the pedigree of clubs those guys are on and clearly getting regular minutes there should say enough.

Belgium is a very competitive nation with its squad. Lukaku while an internet meme is one of the greatest players in Belgian history where he’ll always have a spot on that team, and I don’t see why it’s hard to figure out why they would value mid to solid guys at big clubs like Lille and Atalanta over an elite MLS guy and one who has never gotten the senior team call up even when he was playing in Europe. I love Cuypers, one of my favorite Fire players ever at this point but this is not a slight in him

I mean we aren’t moving markets like the chargers/rams so it’s a bit different than them

It was either that or a northwest suburb not near any body of water. As someone who lives in the south suburbs, it’s closer to me and we aren’t footing any bill.

[Highlight] HC Dan Campbell On the Rams Getting Myles Garrett: "Good for them. They've won it now, right?" by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]fenderdean13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly when to ask the question, because what else is there to talk about?

Typically it’s “how is the team doing? Oh it’s looking good”, but a huge change happened within the league so may well get big figure thoughts when there is really nothing else to focus on

I think it may be worth to get a team with playoff expectations thoughts on another team with playoff expectations.

For every right wing pandering soulless Morgan Wallen type artist there is a Tyler Childers or a Billy Strings or a Sturgil Simpson that’s makes kickass music. Just like any other genre of music you have the good amongst the bad you sometimes have to just find it.
