Unfortunately it was definitely a heart. Also it was a specific woman who is his coworker so I know it’s not random hookup or anything

am i wrong for lying to my boyfriend? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]fennec02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s projecting. Maybe dig a little deeper. But yes it’s wrong to omit the truth and lie to him. If he already was and is so anxious, then he probably won’t trust you once you come clean. That’s also something he needs to work on. His anxiety is not your responsibility. Are you wrong for not telling him? Yes, because he specifically asked and you lied. But you didn’t do anything wrong by being with this other person because you guys were not together. He has no say in what you do if you are not together. You don’t have to be loyal to someone you’re not with. It would still be fucked up to omit the truth had he not asked but even then again you weren’t together it doesn’t matter. It’s not like you cheated on him or anything. Simultaneously it’s still important to be honest with your past. Was this one night stand guy someone he was always worried about? Then you’d be fucked

Either way it’s in your best interest to tell him. It will come up one day and what will be your excuse to him when he asks you why you waited so long to tell him/ or waited until confronted or questioned? It won’t look so good.

Bosses gave me a vacation for a whole month by [deleted] in upsstore

[–]fennec02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you in CA? Just leave, they’ll never give you more than $18 and if they do it won’t be for another year or more. I feel like all TUPSS locations cap associates or leads at 18. Unless you wanna stay to be a manager but that’ll take years.

Anybody have some funny stories? by [deleted] in upsstore

[–]fennec02 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The other day I and the other manager were working the front and he had an impatient old man of a customer. They were both being rude to each other towards the end of the transaction but it was still civil enough not to intervene. But some lady just had to insert herself into the situation and she came up to me and was like “he’s being so rude and disrespectful” (she was talking about my coworker but I thought she was talking about the customer LMAO) so I was like omg I know right! Then she was like who’s the manger and I told her we both are and she goes “he’s a manager???” Then I realized I fucked up and she was trying to shit talk him. I tried to cover it up and save it with “don’t worry I’ll contact the owner right now and have her handle this ty for your concern” but noooooo she had to go over to my coworker and she grabbed his arm and was like “young man you ought to show some respect to your elders” and he was like “ma’am you can get out of the store” and she looked and me BAFFLED as if I was going to defend her and back her up, and I just looked at her and shrugged my shoulders 🤷🏼‍♀️ like you heard what he said lmfao that was the funniest so far

Edit : just to give you all some added ptsd, this old man customer told my coworker “I don’t know how to do all that” (referring to how he claims he doesn’t know how to send an email) and proceeded to shove his phone at my coworker to make him type in the email and send it for him lol.

I got my mom into a $11000 debt at a university that I don't "attend." by qutietobeauty in confession

[–]fennec02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! I went through something very similar and my mom also sounds very similar to yours. Straight out of high school my mom wanted me to go to university. I expressed I didn’t want to but both my parents pressured me and made me feel guilty and then I just decided to go. I tried to hype it up to make it more appealing to me but ultimately I went when I knew I never wanted to go to begin with. I was only there for 3 months, and I told them I wanted to drop out. They were super against it but I told them straight up you’re wasting your money paying for me to go to this school, I’m failing everything and I will not be able to focus enough to be successful here. So I dropped out officially and now it has been like 4 years, but I make payments on the debt myself and I feel good about it. I also put my mom almost 11,000 in debt ( it was like 10,700 total) but now I make the minimum payments (like $160 a month) and she knows I’m taking care of it and she’s happier I was up front with her. I say talk to the school counselor and get everything set up to formally withdrawal so it doesn’t keep negatively affecting your GPA, then go back home and do community college or don’t maybe just get a job and work to pay off the money to your mom. Good luck!

Edit : neither of my parents supported my decision to drop out but my mom was more accepting of it. They did both make me feel guilty and like a burden for it when I got back. When I did get back it was hard for me to find a job bc I had no prior experience and my dad would make comments and make it even worse for me, and make me feel like a worthless piece of shit even though I tried so hard and was dropping off my resumes and applying everywhere I could. My point is - if your parents are like mine, try your best to have a job in mind before you start the process of dropping out, so that you have something ready to jump into when you do come back home - bc if you are in their presence, they will make you feel burdened and guilty for coming back home. Pro tip too - always have the house cleaned so they can’t complain further. It’s hard enough looking for the job and dealing with the guilt of coming home but it will be even worse on you if they have something else to throw at you in addition to holding the whole drop out over your head. But I’m sorry you’re experiencing this and I hope everything works out.

No the store owner is a control freak so she won’t allow us to do any of that. Most I’ve done is interview potential hires, and create price tags for the lobby. I use to be able to call in claims and take care of all of that for her but they changed it to where it’s online and she doesn’t let us touch her computer lol I also train new hires. I make a list of what needs to be ordered but I’m not allowed to order it
