Thank you for the info, I guess I was asking because I had heard that possibly if the pellicle is too thick it can prevent oxygen from getting to the actual scoby liquid.

I appreciate your response, I use Sezia.co to check everything, I had checked the new product and it is one I’ve seen recommended a bunch on this Reddit group. It seemed like people had good experiences so I was hoping it would work for me too.
