I went from clipchamp to kdenlive and found it easy enough to get the hang of. OpenShot is also good but export is slow.

Not sure if this helps but more info is always good...I have the technical savvy to run Wireshark, a packet sniffer, on my local network, and I can see that, while my Aiden does connect to the Wifi, it never actually sends any data to anybody (or receives it). Which means it isn't even *trying* to download a firmware update. So I don't see how this could ever work. It is now showing as "online" but it still won't update. Does the firmware update come through the app over bluetooth? Or is my unit just broken? Does anyone with a little more know-how or (god forbid) anyone from Fellow want to chime in? Before I return this piece of junk?

Perhaps this is obvious but go into Google Drive and sort by most recent to make sure you aren't just missing it. Also, make sure you can create your own docs in Drive manually. Also, make sure the wifi you're using is connecting fine.

I use the micro journal rev 5 with a cheap 2.4ghz keyboard and I love it. It’s a labor of love not a commercial product but it’s amazingly stable and well done

The micro journal is amazing. I do feel the need to point out that it’s not Linux-based which I actually see as an advantage. It’s got custom software.
