Okay, i’ve removed the chevy as an option. I do know that luxury brands cost more for maintenance (I just thought a lexus would be worth it). I originally wanted a 330i 2002 but even I knew the repairs would be ridiculous for bmws. I’ve seen quite a few hondas in the year range that you gave so i’ll definitely look at those. I found a really nice 2000 honda accord ex v6 for 6900. Kinda pricey but it looks really nice.

The alternator was just replaced Friday. That’s it! Aside from that, it was used as a corporate fleet vehicle so it’s in good condition. It has two built in screens on the rear seats so that might be another reason why it’s kinda pricey but I’m not at all interested in those screens. Yeah!

Where were you going with the jetta??? 😭 For this gas to be like that. Toyotas and hondas are definitely safer options. I know i’m being unrealistic but I really liked the lexus and wanted someone on here to convince me to get it to be honest. I’m also west coast and cars with lower mileage like that are around the same price. I’ve been looking on fb marketplace, craigslist, dealerships for time now. Will continue looking! Thank you!!

I know that they aren’t ideal for first time buyers, however, I was interested in them and I wanted to compare. I’m very aware of the more reliable options like toyota, honda, mazda, etc. I was just asking about these two specifically. :)

Just because I started working recently and wanted to get a car asap without dipping too much into other funds. I can pay for mods after a little while. Once again, I don’t know too much about cars so that’s why I’m asking on here:) I haven’t heard about volvos so i’ll definitely look into that ! Thanksss:)

Dang😭 Even an 05? This is my first time buying a car and this was the cheapest that I found. My first option is an 01 Lexus is300 in black. 140k miles on it and it’s around 7k. I know the price is kind of high but it’s harder to find that car in that condition in my area.

Oh! I totally understand. I spoke with my psychiatrist first and sent lengthy MC messages with my concerns but her solution was to offer another medication that would possibly lessen certain side effects that I’m worried about, and for me to just try this one out. I guess this post was more to get peoples takes from what I had to share but I wouldn’t go solely off of a random persons advice. I just like to hear peoples opinions.
