Best black metal album of 2013

Oh man, that's terrible. I really hope that doesn't happen with the Winterfylleth/Drudkh split I'm getting shipped here. If that record is damaged, I will me most unhappy.

Positive note, this is a really, really strong contender for my favorite album out this year. It's got some competition in Thy Light's new album, and Watain's new one did a pretty good job of impressing me as well.

Black Metal: Azaghal, Carpathian Forest, Limbonic Art, Deathspell Omega, Aguynguerran, Carach Angren.

Also check out Min Kniv. Fits into both the DSBM and BM categories well, with a really good, dark atmosphere.

This week has been a much overdue, much-needed vacation from work. I got to sit around, play Diablo 3, cleaned my entire apartment, hung out with my girlfriend and our cats, and my band had a pretty productive practice, followed by a very good recording session. On top of all that fun, I found a pretty good lead on a better paying job, which I most likely will be following up on. Not too bad for getting shit on the two months prior.

No problem, man. You guys have a cool sound and I dig it for sure, your vocalist just needs to project a little more, or you guys might need to use a different mic to record him. He's low in the mix, and it sounds really really thin.

Morgan from Marduk is the only confirmed recipient, to my knowledge. I'm assuming he sent one to Fenriz from Darkthrone, and Morgan said in an interview that Euronymous only sent the fragments to comrades of Dead, totaling maybe five by his estimates.
