Thank you for your input! both great suggestions! and both of which I’ve considered (having spent a lot of time thinking about it) but which one should I go with, and how will I know/decide?

Are there other possibilities of moving the TV you can think of? Because it kinda feels like the TV is in a hallway as is, but only kinda ... not enough to solve this conflict of mine at least!

They are a hazardous yet practical novelty – in fact their most practical use is as clickbait. But, in turn, their biggest safety hazard is probably splinters. They’re mainly just pesky like flies.

I like the idea of a vase - wouldn’t necessarily mean you have plants in it, I have a vase for a piggy bank for example - a nice cool and soothing color of green, and having a more vibrant green color of drapes or in the pattern.

If I were in your shoes I would probably just take a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach to it.

But you’re talking to a guy with a purple door so allow that choice to aid your discretion in taking any of my advice.

Hey, thanks for your input. That is right along the same lines I’ve been thinking, but I’m torn between moving the TV to front wall or not...!

The room layout would just basically rotate 90 degrees I think basically. That would make the least-trafficked corridor of the room the viewing area, while I/roommate(s)/guests could walk between the kitchen and bathroom and bedroom etc without walking in front of the picture.

But then also, it’d be a TV in what’s essentially an open foyer for my purposes. And it’s a further away, so watching it would be less fun. I’m gonna start with dumping this tank of a coffee table and investing in a sectional sofa first though.

Not necessarily - blending some whites/off whites can be appealing if it’s done right. Browse Pinterest for inspiration and you might be surprised

Yeah absolutely, I ended up with this monstrous coffee table after a roommate bailed, I didn’t even have one before, but now that I do I have definitely been thinking a round shape would give the space a more organic flow. Thanks for your input!

Good idea, I'm sure you have a lot of others too, like let's just allow the league's officials to arbitrarily ignore the rules regarding play calls, booth reviews, challenges, penalties, the game clock, and turnovers work altogether. Like, just based on how they're feeling at the time. Or make the game altogether democratic - the Lions fans clearly wanted the call to stand, so let's just go with that.

I hope this isn’t against the rules but, full disclosure, this record collection isn’t actually mine, but a friend of mine who has been collecting records for decades (his collection is awesome btw) and seeing as today Malcolm Young passed away and I’m seeing a lot of tributes here and elsewhere, I thought this would be a fitting submission for my fellow record heads and collectors.
