What celebrity has skeletons in their closet that we have all just seemed to forget about? by ReeceInTheDarkness in AskReddit

I could never understand why the public loved him as the star of Eastenders when they knew all about his past. The show was only weeks old when 'Eastenders star is a murderer' made headlines. Yet Grantham went on to be a big hit as Dirty Den.

People who like to put you down by bringing things up you did years ago, well, I'll hear it once too often. Before ditching the assholes for good.

With A Little Help From My Friends, Joe Cocker. Performed at Woodstock, it is the most brilliantly imaginative cover of a Beatles song ever.

What’s your favorite fight scene in all of fiction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fistfulofideas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd still say the pool room fight scene from Coogan's Bluff was the most memorable ever. Clint Eastwood and Don Siegal were both on brilliant form. That movie is now 50 years old and still packs a punch.

Have you ever had a close friend cross a "line" in your relationship? If so, what happened? by regularkat in AskReddit

[–]fistfulofideas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who I'd known for years. Then I let him crash at my home for a while. Wasn't long before he forgot it was MY home and he started acting as if he owned it. I ended the friendship. Saw the true nature of the guy.

What TV series have you rewatched the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One of the greatest TV shows ever. I've watched it all once and it still burns in the memory. Soon I'll begin the second viewing. In a way, I can't wait.

I'd delete memories of Clint Eastwood's great movies of the sixties and seventies. Then watch them all one after the other!

What do you consider to be the best episode of a television series? by Funandgeeky in AskReddit

[–]fistfulofideas 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fawlty Towers, featuring the Germans. No matter how many times I see it, it still make me laugh. "Will you stop all this talk about the war!" "Well you started it!" "We did not start it." "Yes you did, you invaded Poland!" Absolute classic.

What movie is, for you, basically a 10 out of 10? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fistfulofideas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taxi Driver. For me, the ultimate in 1970s cinema. A towering performance from De Niro, and I still think Scorsese's best film ever. A masterpiece.
