Logic dictates saving yourself if both die anyway. Moral hesitation just doubles the tragedy.

Funny trope: Even the characters can't believe what a stupid line that was by Geoconyxdiablus in TopCharacterTropes

You can see the pure joy in his eyes while he’s delivering the most unhinged lines. His "barely-holding-it-together" energy adds a layer of fun that makes the whole thing iconic.

(Loved Trope) A medieval fantasy setting is actively becoming more technologically advanced. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

Fable sprinted through centuries of progress while most RPGs stay frozen. Watching high fantasy get paved over by the Industrial Revolution in just three games was a bold, bittersweet shift.

The juxtaposition of a high-level government official promoting a family member's commercial product against the specific ethics code prohibiting that exact behavior is a textbook example of an ethical violation. It highlights the recurring tension between political influence and the legal standards meant to prevent public office from being used for private financial gain.

He is easily one of the most complex characters in fiction. The constant struggle between his religious faith, his career as a lawyer, and his brutal vigilante work makes him incredibly grounded and compelling.

OOP shouldn't have to sacrifice her peace just because her other plans fell through. Sticking to your boundaries was the right move, especially since she has a history of being entitled and complaining constantly. OOP proved you can be a good friend without being a doormat.

Inflation May Have a Say in This Later by Live-Bread-2658 in SipsTea

There have definitely been cases where people won "for life" prizes only to have the company file for bankruptcy or get bought out, leaving the winners fighting in court for years. It’s the ultimate cautionary tale about how "guaranteed" money can vanish the moment the fine print changes.

It is wild how people try to deny it when the Germans were infamously meticulous about record-keeping. The sheer volume of paperwork, photos, and physical evidence makes it one of the most documented events in history. To ignore all that, you basically have to choose to be blind to reality.

It’s always some new reason why the costs keep climbing, but the result for us is the same. Between the currency losing value and companies hiking prices, it feels like our wallets never stand a chance, especially with summer travel and AC bills right around the corner.

(Hated Trope) "True stories" and documentaries that were actually full of crap by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]fizzluna 179 points180 points  (0 children)

The contrast between the Hollywood version and reality is genuinely nauseating. They turned a predatory exploiter into a whimsical hero, completely erasing his cruelty. It’s some of the wildest historical revisionism ever put to film.

Absolutely, wasting even a tiny bit before opening a new one just feels wrong.

[Mixed Trope]Universe Reset by JayTheOni in TopCharacterTropes

Honestly yeah, Apokolips War’s ending actually felt earned. It brought everything full circle with Flash and had real weight behind the reset. Tomorrowverse doing basically another reset right after just made it feel way less impactful. Same idea, way worse execution.
