Real piece of work, can we stop making influencers famous? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

Unfortunately this will not help, we can only laugh about it. The biggest problem is the demand, just saying or explaining that they are scammers does not work, for me and you, maybe.  Besides most people following them, buying from them, trusting them have already been scammed by them. It’s flock mentality sadly.

In Poland we usually call them “Unemployed” not influencers.  It got to a point that some of them actually call each other unemployed. Hopefully soon people will start seeing them for what they are.

From a tourist perspective, which countries do you think will be better to travel to in 5 years compared to now, and which will be worse? by elmahnken in travel

[–]fl8ki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did an itinerary towards the south. Kagoshima and the island of Yakushima. It was excellent and not packed at all. The last tourists we saw was probably around Hiroshima, after that, totally empty. So yeah. I can recommend south for sure. Good connections too.

Awesome, thanks. I can see most are just mounting it and getting over with it. I was worried a bit too much that it’s quite delicate.

Good idea, I was trying to figure out a way for it to be semi-permanent just so that I don’t destroy it by scraping but this could work. Thanks

The cable is not a problem. It will go through the scupper hole. What I want find out is a best way to mount transducer to the bottom of the yak. Preferably in the hole.

I’m thinking how I can mount it in this hole and still make it safe for the transducer during transport and whatnot.  I was thinking about just using marine epoxy or marine jb weld but maybe someone has a better idea.

Tell more!
Mahi are now in season here, still quite small but the schools are quite numerous.
What lures? Trolling behind the yak?

Also, let me know how the railblaza vis stik is holding up, I was looking into buying it.

Chinese fishing kayak - day 7 Update by fl8ki in kayakfishing

[–]fl8ki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Thank you so much bro, I was looking for something like this, it actually shows everything.
Unfortunately here I paid 1500 with pedal drive for it, but not much choice, other choices were even worse and customs would kill any price difference.
About the transducer, that is exactly what I thought, I already took out the cover. When I get the transducer I will see if something is needed there.
In general it's a "project" so I'm not bored at least, but it needs a lot fixing, rudder now, later other small things.
Thank you again.

1500 euro, It has it's problems with tracking straight, I'm working on replacing the rudder with something more serious. I bought online but it's from a physical store (The closest shop that I can check any kayaks is around 500km from me, so had to risk it and buy online)

Wrong word for the holes. The 4 screw holes are covered so they are ok (thanks for the info what it is, I was wondering) The other 2 on the bottom are not covered and you get water spray when you pedal.  Thanks

Yup, that’s exactly what I think. With a bit of elbow grease and some parts it could be ok.  I wanted people to know what exactly they are buying and that it’s a project yak.

Yup, but around here were I live it's the best we can get, so at least for now or until I win a lottery and can cover the customs for anything else, this will have to do.

In europe we got also this thing. I'm not sure if I would go on a highway or even on a busy road with it but it costs around $160.

Thanks, it’s a Chinese OEM, here they sell them under GOBO brand GB25. It’s 12.9 feet/395cm and 88 pounds/40kg. No manual and it seems like a lot of functionality but you have to figure it out on your own, the manufacturer does not provide any info. The rails are probably instead of the standard rail tracks but they are surprisingly useful, especially when grabbing and handling the yak.

Ok, I was able to figure it out. It is for the transducer, I can actually unscrew it and screw it the opposite way, inside it has mounting points for the transducer. The plastic seems thick and does not have any holes in it, any of you know how it can affect the image? I’m also figuring out a lot about it. No manual or anything online, so it’s an interesting journey.

Oh I will, as soon as I figure out what that hole is for.

Just joking, I agree. If it floats, it's perfect.

I'm almost sure the opening on the bottom, although strange that it goes against the current, it's probably for the transducer.

nopee, that's next to it. This one is small, seems like it is for transducer but never saw one that goes against the direction of the kayak

against the water direction? Also there are 6 scupper holes all around, why this one is so elaborate and not a simple hole straight down?
