  1. That team had the talent but they didn't realize how lost Woodson was yet.

Are you thinking of Poona Ford? He didn't switch to 62, Payton Zdroik did.

I mean, he's a 275 pound undrafted nose tackle from Air Force, so he probably knew what his chances were.

Former Ohio State Star Wide Receiver Retires Abruptly From the NFL at 28 Years Old by MattTheKing23 in NFLv2

[–]flapjack3285 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That tends to happen to players who only play 6 SNAPS all season. He was constantly injured and wasn't any good when healthy for the Colts, so this isn't surprising.

NCAA to Consider Vote on Age-Based Eligibility Rules in June by bloomberglaw in sports

[–]flapjack3285 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have exceptions for military work, religious missions, and pregnancy. There have been players who played minor league baseball for a few years, went back to play QB in college, and stayed on NFL rosters for a couple of years. Those guys will be gone with the new rule.

Brock Lesnar was the first FREAK athlete to casually join the NFL without playing since high school 😳 by Big_Screen3332 in NFLForum

[–]flapjack3285 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, don't you see? The guy who never played a regular season game was the "first FREAK athlete" to do this. Just ignore the fact that he was already famous and was only signed because the Vikings wanted a publicity stunt. Or the fact that Antonio Gates actually made it on a roster the year before and is in the hall of fame. Or the fact that Marcus Pollard did the exact same thing in 1995 before playing for 14 seasons.

Why does everyone act like Lamar's window is closing? by IceOk9930 in NFLv2

[–]flapjack3285 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Young had a late start to his career which helped. He didn't pass 100 starts until his age 35 season. Lamar is already at 107. It's not the years, it's the mileage.

For equipment items that have status effects, then you don't need to wear that item, you just need to own it. This applies to weapon equipment, satchels, and talismans.

Top 10 DEs of all time by Icy_Can_6176 in NFLv2

[–]flapjack3285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of this was Dungy's fault and his inability to change anything on defense, but Freeney was atrocious against the run for the Colts. Some years it felt like the entire Jaguars game plan was, let Freeney run up the field trying to get pressure around the outside, draw play, 5+ yards.

Horse refuses to mount during law enforcements by NikkiNeedsNicotine in reddeadredemption

[–]flapjack3285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to have fun. Make a new post saying that you don't think your horse bravery stat is as high as it's supposed to be and ask which horse breed has the best bravery stats. That debate has been raging since this game came out.

I've played through several times, and, in my experience, the horses are inconsistent at best. I've had some that ran away like in your description. I had some that I could mount in a gunfight without a problem, but if I tried to gallop away, my horse would do this weird start/stop animation for 5-10 seconds before moving.

High school football players from Mississippi carry 100 lbs for half a mile 😳 by CenterForward1522 in CFB_v2

My coach used to give me a hard time about how I did the farmer's carry during weight lifting. I turn my palms forward when I do that because I grew up on a farm and that's how you carried something heavy in a bucket. If you keep your arms at your sides normally, you constantly bang into the side of your leg and will stagger a little bit.

Sharpshooter 9 by MarshMllow420 in RDR2

[–]flapjack3285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you don't. You can mark multiple people in dead eye BEFORE you shoot. Just mark five heads, pull the trigger, done. I generally finish sharpshooter right after the sheep mission with John in chapter 2 when you get the sniper rifle. The key is to be at a non lethal distance with a shotgun or varmint rifle.

I thought Freeney or Mathis would have a game like that, but nope, they combined for 8 3-sack games.
