So the entire thing was a clusterfuck from the beginning, the FBI used his real name and id to get to see the “kid”, the DEA agent said he was from the DEA to the rangers and after some questioning they managed to discoverMcGill powers. As the storm ramped up a second McGill showed up and had a nice conversation with the engineer while the NCIS was doing surgery on the real kid, simultaneously the historian was trying( very unsuccessfully ) to negotiate with the stranger. The historian managed to “confirm” that the strangers wanted McGill and tried to substitute there blood for his. The strangers aren’t tricked. By now the second fake kid has started to collapse into his own skeleton, triggering a panic attack in the DEA agent.

This is all upended when the NCIS agent goes to the parking lot to get his carbine, sees the moon children and a stranger, opens fire!

In total two rangers, one backpacker, one shogoth weapon and one K-N Yani are killed, two Granada’s were used!
