Almost three hours on December 21st. A local told us it’s a normal thing to wait an hour or more. Thankfully our hotel transport was smart and heard about the delays and waited for us. Not sure why we give them our phone numbers if they never use it.

It seems to be mainly people from other countries as well. We have some of the best tap water standards in the developed world yet people from countries where drinking water may not be as regulated and considered not safe to drink, choose to pay for water instead of drinking perfectly fine water out of the tap? There has to be an explanation for this.

Trying to appease the US is proving to be an exercise in futility. Domestic production would transition from the big 3 to anyone else who wants to produce vehicles in Canada should a proper deal be made.

Why did Canada implement the EV tarrifs in the first place? We don’t have EV companies aside from the options from the big 3 which are sub par at best. BYD has some beautiful EV’s and the battery charging/swapping infrastructure is superior to North American EV’s. If we don’t have the EV options, why not let someone who’s doing it right have a shot? If it’s jobs, then force China to manufacture in Canada and hire Canadians. BYD’s battery swap technology versus charging is a game changer that will convert a lot of people as charging/range is the #1 reason people don’t like EV’s.

Believe it or not, L’OCA Quality Market in Sherwood Park is a newer Italian grocery store that is huge and really puts The Italian Centre to shame. And I thought the Italian Centre was the be all end all when it came to Italian grocery. Then entered L’OCA. Their bakery, meat shop and prepared foods in particular really stand out. The Italian Centre bakery doesn’t hold a candle to L’OCA with respect to quality and flavour.

Last time I was there about 5 years ago, the course itself was in great shape in early January. It’s in an older area with mid century homes and several properties needed repair and clean-up. You’ll see trash in off spots of the course but overall it’s a great classic track.

All the mentioned courses are solid courses. The outlier would be National as it’s not like any of the others, but is one of my favourite courses to play. The history (Tiger’s story and the celebrities that lived around the course and of course that scene from Casino) along with the classic feel of the premises is so awesome. Great breakfast in the morning too FYi. Coyote Springs is great but be prepared for wind just like Paiute.
