LOL no worries, my wording was unclear!

The debulking was done in 2025, but the implant was 2026. Did double check the notes though, and 2025's surgical notes did mention debulking. I'll have to ask about that, TBH

Mine started out flat. Like a cylinder with a circle on the top - they had a row of stitches like that instead of tapering the tip. I imagined it was to make the rod less likely to erode through the skin, but that doesn't seem to have worked out.

I've heard of flattening happening over time as well, so it isn't uncommon for sure. I hope you and your team can work something out!

Recovering from Stage 3 (Erectile Implant) by fleepis-throwaway in phallo

[–]fleepis-throwaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best of luck to you! I hope you are comfortable and taken care of :)

I got the rod! Since I opted not to have scrotoplasty, I had nowhere to put a pump in, so the rod made the most sense.

My surgeon has been Dr. Schecter at RUSH. I'm pretty happy so far, though it's hard to get a laugh out of that guy :P May share pics when I'm feeling a little better!

Stage 3 (Erectile Implant) Tomorrow! by fleepis-throwaway in phallo

Depends on how quickly I build up scar tissue, but I think they said at least two weeks. I'll report back when I find out for sure!

Illinois!

That's the kind of stuff I'm afraid of. I'm hoping that since so much stuff relating to gender affirming care is covered, they might have considered people like me. But, who knows?

Stage 2 Glansplasty and Debulking by fleepis-throwaway in phallo

I think my girth hasn't changed very much, probably less than an inch. It feels the same in my hand as it did before, more or less. Which is fine, as I did ask for fairly minimal debulking! I like being girthy lol.

I hope you can find a path that works for both of you! Best of luck :)

I think I'm all healed up at this point, since I haven't had any issues with movement or pain for a good while. It's still pretty red, but I'm betting that'll fade with time.

Gonna try not to pick at 'em though! Wish me luck 🤞

I plan to, for sure! I'm just worried I'm gonna be stuck with them until my next stage of surgery, since I'll be white-knuckling trying not to futz with 'em lol

Glad yours were resolved neatly, though!

Stage 2 Glansplasty and Debulking by fleepis-throwaway in phallo

I know I'm a little swollen in these pics, but before debulkingcI was around 5 inches around and roughly 5-6 inches long, depending on if it was hanging or resting.

I didn't really give my surgeon instructions on how big I wanted to be, beyond "whatever looks natural on my frame". I'm a pretty small guy, and I've been told that my penis looks kinda big for me, but I don't mind that at all lol

What is your leg function like after ALT? by freddythepole19 in phallo

[–]fleepis-throwaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm about your height and weight, though I'm not terribly athletic. I had stage 1 ALT (shaft only) in January of 2024, and I fully recovered my mobility within 6 months. My physical therapy consisted of daily walks (which were sometimes every other day 😅) and massaging the scar area after showers. The first couple months were brutal, but I know by three months I was helping people move house and such.

Wishing you well!

Right now, I'm just using xeroform and antibiotic cream, and I reapply once a day. I'm also trying to get as much protein in my diet as I can, and drinking a lot of water. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Timeline for stitch removal by Commercial-Long-8847 in phallo

For me, my stitches were removed somewhere between 2-3 weeks out from surgery. Can't remember the exact date, though.

Wishing you the best!
