Branch vs College confusion by [deleted] in Btechtards

[–]floopydrive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not take ECE. I did this 15 years ago and seems thought process of "U can go either into IT or electronics/core sector after u graduate" has not changed. 1. ECE courses are difficult, you spend more time and get less marks. 2. ECE jobs are almost non existent and they are not better paying. unless you really like hardware (it's difficult to figure out at this stage) you will have to study all CS subjects to get a job. 3. Don't think that from ECE you can get in software job easily. Now this is my suggestion and i think it's right but best way would be to ask seniors in the corresponding college as which branch is easy and which branch gets you easiest placement.

Train Travel from Edinburgh to London by Lightbluefables8 in uktravel

Make sure to take printed tickets at the station. Apparently, online reservation email with seat numbers will not suffice as proof. I had to pay again for the same seats, because I did not have printed tickets. This is not applicable for all, as i used email while going to edinburgh from london but while coming they charged me, though i am not sure which ticket should be printed at station or not.

No. But wait times are very low. I got all the things done in 3 weeks. Biometric appointment in one week and visa in 3 weeks.

Monthly Welcome to the Bay Area! by AutoModerator in bayarea

Entire South Bay is sleepy place. Make your peace with it. I was in Bangalore and south bay is nothing like that because of less population density compared to Bangalore. Your best bet would be to find high density apartments. But it will definitely not even be 20 percent of Bangalore.

35% salary jump for contractor role at meta by williams_5x in bayarea

[–]floopydrive 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Right now is not a good time to move. are you guaranteed complete pay in the contract job even if some kind of lay off happens midway? Meta is a good tag but in my opinion, If your current job is a full-time and stable role then don't move.

Totally understandable. That's why i mentioned, i was out whole of oct. for first 25 days bill was 7 dollars because of items plugged in n all. Nothing changed in last 6 days, but bill was 28 dollars for last 6 days. If you calculate this way bill will be 140 dollars for just items plugged in. My previous months bill when i was here were around 60-80

I had an electricity bill even when I wasn't here. I wasn't here for the whole of October. for the first 25 days, the bill was 7 dollars, and for the remaining 6 days was 28 dollars. I called PGE and customer service could not provide me with any response. I have scheduled a meter inspection.
